English language acquisition is crucial to building a new life in America!  You can make a big difference by working with our refugee students as they study English.  Project Worthmore English classes are held in partnership with the Emily Griffith Opportunity School and are currently taught by their teachers at our building at 1633 Florence St. Aurora. Each class is tailor-made to meet students at their learning level and give them the skills they need to move forward. Volunteers assist the classroom teacher by working one-on-one or leading small break-out groups with students who need extra help mastering specific skills.

Our volunteers must complete an orientation course.
