Project Worthmore’s vision is the community’s vision: A world in which all people are valued, included, and empowered.
This world is being build here, at 1666 Elmira Street in Aurora, Colorado.
Establishing Roots
In 2021, we were able to purchase the building that houses our offices. We had finally planted roots. It was only fitting that the building would then be called. “The Roots”. It is a hub for newcomers to gather, receive support, healthcare and build community.
But...
1666 Elmira St. was built in 1959 and is in need of upgrading. We believe that the renovations of the building are not only needed (ADA compliant, solar panels, roof replacement, etc) but that by creating a dignified space that is welcoming is in line with our mission to serve immigrants and refugees with the respect they deserve.
